The FamilySAFE Shelter
The FamilySAFE EF5 rated tornado shelter is the strongest tornado shelter in the industry. The impenetrable thick skinned steel room comes standard with square steel reinforced welded corners. All FamilySAFE tornado shelters feature thick walled 2” x 2” square tubing for forming our “NASCAR” type safety cage that runs throughout the unit. According to engineers, our units are capable of supporting over 100,000lbs stacked on top of it (about 25 mid-sized cars). The vented Safe-T door with lock release uses three commercial grade class-one stainless steel deadbolts to hold 
and secure from the storm but also acts like a vault or storage cabinet for valuables or firearms. This unique system allows the door to be opened several different ways, ensuring that getting trapped inside is next to impossible. The tornado shelter is bullet resistant to all normal handguns and shot guns (class-three), and features a stainless steel sight glass for viewing the storm or intruders. We are confident this is the best tornado shelter made today, especially for the price. Our most popular sizes are 3'x 5' 4’x4’ 4'x6’ 4’x8’ 6’x6’ and 6’x8’. We also build units as large as 8’x8’, 8’x10’ and 8' x 12' and many other customized sizes if our clients desire. Our units are 6’8” tall with a door size of 30”. ADA door are available at 36”.
